Jenn Ashton – Finding Freedom Through Creating

Welcome to Season 3, Episode 6!

Jenn Ashton, author and artist is the kind and talented guest today.  Her work has been published starting at the young age of 14!

Today she talks about how she kept up with writing through her life and tried out different jobs along the way, and eventually turned into a full time writer and artist.  The art part wasn’t something she had planned on, but she enjoys it fully and that can be seen in her various creations, found here: http://jenniferashton.ca/WP/

She also continues writing and has a book out that has been short listed for the Indigenous Voices Award! It is called, People Like Frank: and other stories from the edge of normal.  It is a collection of short stories about “protagonists whose perspectives are informed by their unique circumstances. Some are struggling with physical challenges while others seek to overcome psychological barriers,” and it couldn’t be timelier.
